Bus for bush community

Hi my name is Kenita-Lee McCartney i am a proud Wemba Wemba Wotjiboluk Nari Nari Boon Wurrung women living on Wemba Wemba lands in Swan Hill.

 

I am fundraising for a bus for my community. There is a huge need in our community to have access to country. I have a lot of experience running different programs in community and transport is always a massive issue. Usually i self fund projects, or fundraise doing bbqs and other fundraising opportunities, this way is so time consuming and takes alot of energy for one person.

 

 

Things the bus will be used for:

Taking elders out bush

Spend time on country

Connecting and healing

Picking up mob for weaving/painting

Taking youth out bush

Travelling to coroborees

Trips for healing for mob

 

 

We need to raise funds for this initiative, we dont have services currently servicing these needs in our community. My dream is to co-design programs to meet the needs in community.

 

There are many communities creating futures for their mob around this country, i want to see this for our community too, help me make a positive impact!

 

Please help me support my community directly. All money donated will be going towards purchasing a bus.
